The week should start out dry with at least partial sunshine for Monday and Tuesday before a wet pattern sets up by Tuesday night and lasts through at least Friday. This doesn't mean it will rain the entire time but I think rainfall totals for the week could surpass 2 inches. The rain will be caused by a series of storms that will travel northeastward out of the Southern Plains and across the Midwest. Initially a breeze out of east will keep temperatures chilly near the Lakefront but warm air will eventually spread northward giving us our first 50 degree day of the season by Tuesday or Wednesday.
Though severe weather isn't likely a thunderstorm or two is possible especially by Thursday. So keep the umbrella handy you will need it this week but at least were talking about plain old rain instead of heavy snow.
