Here's the deal... sunny today and tomorrow with highs in the 40s (except near the lake). Rain Sunday, but highs again in the 40s (except near the lake). Early next week, upper 40s will be possibe (except near the lake) with a few 50+ readings possible well southwest of Chicago. OK, so what does near the lake mean? That depends on the strength of the wind, which will be mostly from the east or northeast for the next several days. Lake-cooled air can move inland into Du Page County for example, but the brunt of the cooling will be within 20 miles of shore. O'Hare today for example may not hit 40 due to winds off the lake. Even with the lake cooling, let's keep it all inperspective. There are no imminent signs of winter's encore.
