Clouds, fog and showers which plagued the area this morning are being swept to the north this afternoon, allowing abundant sunshine to emerge. This is taking place first in communities south and west of Chicago, but I really believe most of Chicagoland will get into the clearing this afternoon. Consequently, temperatures are climbing to levels unseen here since last November! 60s are already reported (as of 2pm) from Midway to Aurora southward. Those of you in Lake County and along the north shore won't get quite as warm, but it sure feels like Spring over the vast majority of the area. Showers will return to the forecast tomorrow, but it will not rain all day. Nor will it rain ALL of the next four days, even though I have showers in the forecast right on through Sunday. As for flooding concerns due to snowmelt and heavy rain, I still am unconvinced this will be much of a problem. Still no sign of snow or any cold air in the next two weeks!
