A few hours of morning sunshine, courtesy of a slower-than-expected storm system to our west, has boosted temperatures well into the 50s south of Chicago. The rapid warmup should cease this afternoon however, as thicker clouds and a few light rain showers overspread the area. If O'Hare hits 50 today, it will be the time we've been that warm since December 1st when we had a high of 55. It would also end one of the longest streaks of sub-50 degree weather in Chicago history. Another sign of Spring... severe weather. Be sure to tune in to our 4pm broadcast for amazing video of yesterday's tornado in Hammon, OK.
